Mary McDougall, President & Chief Executive Officer

Mary McDougall joined Survox as president and CEO in January 2013. Since then, she has been recognized as a thought leader in the research industry by offering insights and best practices from our deep experience in phone survey automation. Mary is responsible for the company’s strategic direction, financial success, and operational excellence.

Before Survox, Mary led change and growth initiatives in both public companies and early stage ventures, always focused on applying software technology to business process improvement. She stays engaged at the leading edge of technology by advising a funding accelerator and local start-ups. Mary was one of the first women to earn an Engineering degree from Dartmouth College before getting her MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mary’s business development philosophy is based on partnerships. In Mary’s view, effective business processes require a composite set of solutions to operate as one and our partnerships make this a reality for our customers.

Khozy Ujjainwala, Vice President,
Development and Operations

Khozy Ujjainwala is the vice president of Dev/Ops at Survox and responsible for our platform’s development and lifecycle management. Khozy’s teams manage the software engineering, product quality and application hosting operations.

Khozy is both a practical and a visionary product leader, with twenty years of experience successfully conceptualizing, building, and delivering enterprise applications that delight customers. Before Survox, Khozy spent much of his career at Verint leading global teams and building best practices to manage portfolios of new and legacy products. He was instrumental in building Verint’s cloud deployment strategy. He is well-versed at analyzing, building and leading the implementation of highly scalable business process solutions and sas applications.

Khozy approach to innovation is to be constantly experimenting. He challenges his team to get hands-on with the latest technologies and seek out market feedback.

Allen Porter, Vice President Customer Success

Allen Porter brings more than 20 years of market research automation knowledge—earned managing the technology platform for one of the industry’s largest global research operations—to his role as director of customer success. Allen is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the customer support experience at Survox, including technical support, best practice knowledge transfer, and professional services.

Before Survox, Allen was the director of research technology at Maritz Research where he was responsible for all online and phone based data collection systems. Allen holds a master of public administration degree and BA from Missouri State University.

Allen’s customer experience philosophy reflects his deep understanding of the time-sensitive nature of research and his keen ability to visualize the customer’s situation. He encourages his teams to be the customer’s voice within the company, advocating for customer-centric changes, enhancements, and processes.

Brian Fowler, Chief Operating Officer

Brian Fowler has more than 20 years as a market research practitioner which informs his daily interactions with customers in his role overseeing all Survox business operations. Brian is responsible for the smooth functioning of our customer account management and financial health.

Brian has been with Survox for over 10 years. His roles continue to span marketing, business development, contract administration and financial operations. Throughout his career, Brian has held leadership positions with industry associations such as the AMA, MRA and PAPOR. Brian holds an MBA and BBA in Marketing from Middle Tennessee State University.

Brian’s brings a ‘can-do’ approach to the role of COO and is an effective business partner to the entire organization. He has led several process improvement initiatives and is constantly experimenting with new ways to help scale the business.
